WWE Fastlane is going down tonight (Sat. Oct. 7, 2023) from Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, starting at 8 pm ET, live on Peacock (in the U.S.) and WWE Network (everywhere else).

Wrestling fans are in for a treat this weekend as John Cena, Seth Rollins and other WWE superstars hit the ring for WWE Fastlane 2023.

“Fastlane” 2023, which focuses on expanding on and furthering the storylines of the Raw and Smackdown brand, will be the first “Fastlane” event to air since 2021. It will be held at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.

The name “Fastlane” originally referred to the event’s proximity to “WrestleMania,” but the WWE has quietly attempted to move away from this connotation.

When and where is WWE Fastlane 2023?

WWE Fastlane starts at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday, October 7. For pregame coverage of the event, tune in for WWE Fastlane Kickoff at 7 p.m. ET. Fastlane will be held at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.

WWE Fastlane 2023 is only the seventh ever Fastlane event, and it's the first Fastlane since 2021.

That 2021 edition of this Premium Live Event featured one of Daniel Bryan/Bryan Danielson's final matches of his WWE career, where he lost against WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns in the lead to WrestleMania 37. Of course, this was also a Fastlane which took place in front of the empty Thunderdome setting.

While the American Dragon is nowadays in AEW, and the Head of the Table has been on a hiatus since this year's SummerSlam, it'll be Seth Rollins and Shinsuke Nakamura on main event duties this time around – with the Visionary's WWE World Heavyweight Championship on the line.

WWE Fastlane 2023 Card

Finn Balor & Damian Priest (c) vs Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso: Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship match

Latino World Order (Rey Mysterio, Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde or Cruz Del Tro) vs Bobby Lashley & The Street Profits (Angelo Dawkins, Montez Ford): Six-man tag team match

John Cena & LA Knight vs Jimmy Uso & Solo Sikoa

IYO SKY (c) vs Asuka vs Charlotte Flair: Triple threat match for the WWE Women's Championship

Seth 'Freakin'' Rollins (c) vs Shinsuke Nakamura: Last Man Standing match for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship

It’s been a wild couple of weeks in the crazy world of professional wrestling: Edge is in AEW, Jade Cargill is in WWE, and The Rock recently appeared on SmackDown. The surprises will likely continue as we hit the road for Fastlane.

The Premium Live Event will be headlined by a slew of exciting bouts as Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso challenge Finn Bálor and Damian Priest for the tag titles, John Cena and LA Knight take on Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa, Iyo Sky defends her WWE Women’s Championship against Asuka and Charlotte Flair in a Triple Threat match, and Shinsuke Nakamura challenges Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship in a Last Man Standing match.

WWE Fastlane comes to Indianapolis on Saturday night. The card features five matches, three of which are for championships, including a world heavyweight title match that is set to be contested under Last Man Standing rules.

In one of the night's headline matches, Seth Rollins will defend his world heavyweight championship against Shinsuke Nakamura in a Last Man Standing match. Nakamura came up short against Rollins at Payback but has continued to taunt Rollins over the champion's injured back. After refusing to fight Rollins for weeks, Nakamura goaded the champ into accepting any match Nakamura wanted.

In the other featured match, John Cena returns for is first televised match since WrestleMania when he teams with LA Knight to take on Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso of The Bloodline.

The last time WWE presented a premium live event was at Payback 2023, which saw Seth Rollins successfully defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Shinsuke Nakamura and Becky Lynch defeat Trish Stratus in a Steel Cage match. This Saturday, WWE is heading to Indianapolis, Ind. for their next big event on the schedule.

John Cena will have his first televised match since WrestleMania 39 this past April, as he teams up with the popular LA Knight to take on Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa of The Bloodline. There will also be a big rematch, with Rollins once again defending his title against Nakamura, this time in a Last Man Standing match, with the only way to win is to incapacitate your opponent enough that they can't answer the count of 10.

This weekend’s premium live event is the final one before Survivor Series in Chicago next month, and the company will be looking to continue its great form into the autumn months.

With three championship matches already set, Fastlane looks set to be another barnstormer for WWE after the success of NXT No Mercy last weekend, and rumours of new signing Jade Cargill appearing could make for a special night.

Having Cena back in the fold amid the actors strike has been huge too, and seeing him team up with LA Knight will be thrilling for fans while proving how highly bosses think of the megastar.

This could be the night Shinsuke Nakamura finally gets the win over Seth Rollins as he continues to torment the World Heavyweight Champion by targeting his injured back.

A Last Man Standing match plays perfectly into his hands, and this feels like it might be the right time to see what a rejuvenated King of Strong Style can do with the gold.

The marquee superstar who will be in the main event of Fastlane is 16-time world champion John Cena, the star of Max’s Peacemaker. Fastlane marks Cena’s first PLE match since losing to Austin Theory at WrestleMania 39. Cena is teaming up with the hottest act in the WWE, LA Knight, to face Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa of The Bloodline.

John Cena and LA Knight should definitely get the job done against Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso in a fascinating match that has helped steady The Bloodline saga despite Jimmy’s bizarre actions.
